Earrings and more earrings... and my current state of mind

A new pair of earrings I made a few days back using rose quartz stones, lampwork beads made by Kandice Seeber and crystals. Was in low spirits yesterday, trying to get out of such depressing state. Still trying. Hubby wrote to say he has seen me overcome similar unhappiness before and he feels I can do it. I was touched to see his words and it has given me strength to stay 'afloat' for a day and a day. Bit by bit. I really hope I can overcome it. I spend when I am unhappy. Lucky(?) for me, I got these lovelies from Jennifermorrisbeads (from etsy). She's really lovely and polite. I'm looking forward to my sweet earrings.

God loves everyone, including those who spitefully hurt others, those who are selfish, those who are possessive, those who mentally torture others... Oh yes, these people are not happy themselves. They suffer and they are in need of love. So the Lord is there. He loves them. I will not ask God to punish You-know-who-they-are, for He knows what is best and He can see the hearts of men. But I don't wish to be the loser, I don't wish to be the person who cannot let go of the hatred inside me. It is so difficult to wish these people well and I'm not even thinking about forgiveness yet. Forgiveness in this case is indeed only possible with Him. I'm not ready yet, not ready yet....

The Floral Filigree Series

I stopped making jewelry for a few months. Yesterday I picked up my kits and started weaving the filigrees, added a polymer flower, added more pearls and added more and more beads... finally I finished a necklace. Having just gone for the Lasik surgery a week back, such jewelry making exercise caused some strains to my eyes. I was very tired at the end and told myself never to work under such bad lighting condition at night in the future.

Presenting... White Flower Filigree Necklace (yeah, I know, what boring name). Made of polymer clay flower, dyed freshwater pearls, crystals, phrenite briolettes and a gold leaf. ^_^

Necklace is now available on my etsy. Priced at USD35/-. Delivery is Free in Singapore. Payment can be in the form of local bank transfer. **Buyers from Overseas - Buy any 2 items and get shipping FREE**

And a recap of my previous Floral Filigree Necklaces:-

Finished the Korean drama serial "Mawang" earlier. A meaningful show, full of suspense and mystery. I love this song "The Scent of Light" from the original soundtrack. This is the first drama serial that I didn't fast forward any part of the story. The whole serial was very nicely done (except the shaky images at some portions which I do not understand why the cameraman chose to do it that way). A fanmade mv taken from youtube below:-

If you have the chance, watch this show. It's really worth watching. =) Edited to add that the main story is not totally logical to me but the cast is fantastic - everyone acted very well. Overall, it is indeed worth the watch to me.

Just this video for today

I MUST post this lovely video clip. It's one of my favourite Korean shows (Mawang, "The Devil") . The beginning of the show is nicely done and I love it so much that I used my camera phone to shoot this when it was playing on my LCD monitor. **LOL** I'm not sure if I am making any sense. Anyway, here it is! Apologies for the bad quality.

That's all for today. Night night!

My MSN display pic and The Devil **LOL**

Out of context totally... I want to talk about my msn display picture. It's a photo of me and I have added the "browning" effect so it has an aged look. I was not smiling in the picture, perhaps I did, it was too small a smile to get noticed when I posted the thingy on msn.

I have feedback on my display picture soon after i put it on msn! All of them complained that I looked fierce. Some said I looked ghostly! I am not offended at all, just amazed that the picture disturbed them so much that they have to complain. One protested and told me not to send any messages to him if I don't take down the picture. Wow... what a reaction!

No picture to show here, it is stored in my office PC.

I guess I will take down my little photo tomorrow and replace it with something else... **sighz**

Heard of "Mawang"/ The Devil? This is a Korean drama serial which was released last year (I think). I am watching it online now. Currently at Episode One. So far so good. =) Interested? Take a peep here.

The weekend is here

I just LOVE this drawing - the bob hairstyle, her eyes and nose. What a lady with character! Love it so much that I bought it last night. Check out this talented artist's etsy shop. And her lovely gallery.

Next on my "To-Buy" list should be from Art.and.Ghost. She is so artistic and creative. Some of my favourites include:-

The weekend is finally here. A routine of sleeping late the previous night, getting up late on Saturday, lazing around, going out for some shopping... I love Saturdays!

Perhaps it was the red wine that I drank (we had girls' night out on Friday) or perhaps I was too tired... I travelled to dreamland and had one of the most amazing dreams - I became a mother and I saw my son. A child of less than one year old and he was riding on my hubby. I can't recall his features now but I know he was a cute sweet boy. Naughty he was, pulling hubby's hair gently and chuckling non-stop. That was a strange dream as both me and hubby never plan to have any kids. I guess I caught a feel on how it's like to be a mother - full of love for the baby and great joy too. Blessed are all the mothers in the world as they are able to enjoy this love that they have for their kids. As for me, I still maintain my decision that we will not have a child, not at this moment.

The Inner Life

I bought a book on Wednesday at Borders. Interesting classic from Thomas Kempis. Here's the cover, equally interesting and full of meaningful words.

May the peace of the Lord comes to all who yearn for it. May those who feel weary and burdened be given rest. Thank God for the guardian angel in my life.

Sunday - A Day I Try to Find Myself Subconciously

Just stumbled upon a Christian blog on "One Thousand Gifts". This is an old post, dated Nov 2006. It talked about listing one thousand gifts - One thousand gifts that she has. What a lovely reminder. As I write my blogs, I often think about the things I want, my wishlist. I totally (indeed, totally) forget the precious things I already have. Perhaps we could all start to count our plentiful blessings and keep counting... and counting.

I took a picture of the clouds at my balcony earlier. It was a hot day... aren't the clouds beautiful?

Ever heard of the group "Libera"? They are a young boys choir, all of them are blessed with angelic-like voices. I just bought their new album "New Dawn" - truly amazing songs inside! YouTube has one of their famous work - Sanctus. Click here to the site.

走过的街 - 4℃

美丽的亮亮店,友善的店员,亲切的服务。。。好怀念Palette Town的4℃首饰店。相信你也很怀念吧。今天上网看了看4℃的网页。好漂亮啊。

Picture taken from 4℃website.

自己的亮亮是多到可怕。那“粉红金”项链一直是我非常喜欢的项链。它应该会是我这生其中一样最珍贵的东西。如果有机会,我希望能回去那梦幻,浪漫的Palette Town.

想念 - 智者+王者

Things I bought, things that came this week...

*******

Bracelet and new pair of shoes!

Finally finished a bracelet. This was started at least 2 weeks ago. Made of polymer clay rose focal, ruby heart drops, ametrine marquise, crystal rounds, bali beads and czech beads. And I was so lucky to spot this pair of かわいいshoes earlier while doing a little window shopping after lunch. Oh yes, I have fully recovered from my horrible tummy ache which lasted for 3 days. It was so wonderful to be able to enjoy nice Japanese noodles without having to feel stomach pain after the meal. =) Back to the shoes... they are so unique - with different pictures sewed on each shoe and the shoe straps are different too. The straps are wrapped round the shoes. Pic below shows 2 pairs of beloved shoes - left ones are from Clarks and right ones are the new pair I bought today. Here's a close up of the new babe:-

End note to myself (I've learnt quite a bit last week):-

1) Never eat anything which tastes/ smells weird. Serves me right for eating weird chilli and didn't stop myself even though I suspected something was wrong.
2) Never think a person is simple or straight forward, even though he/ she looks like one. A person who is highly educated is not a person who is intelligent in every thing. We all know that. I just cannot believe I need to be taught a big lesson to learn this again.
3) Never trust a person's words totally, especially if I have just known the person for a few weeks. Again, we all know this. And I thought I know this very well. But alas....

I have a sweet colleague who keeps her Facebook strictly for her family members. I think it is a great idea. A wonderful tool to keep in touch and a quick way to know how everyone is doing... even a safe haven from the harshness of the world. This blog is my haven but it is not as sheltered as I hope it would be. Enough of my grumblings... all things will be well in the end.

sweet dolls, new necklace and other stuff

I saw pictures of these sweet dolls from the LatiDoll website.... The pic below is taken from LatiDoll's website. This sweetie is named Coco from the yellow series. Pictures are purposely shrunk to be small. Please refer to the official site for the full blown lovely pic!

There are alot of beautiful and sweet dolls available for purchase but they don't come cheap (unlike most Barbies... sorry, I am not a fan of Barbies!). My wishlist includes Coco and Cara... **hearts**

I am a good girl *hahahahaa*... I made a simple necklace 2 days back. Hubby doesn't think it is nice. *LOL* I appreciate his comments nevertheless. Anyway, here's the pic.

Wasn't in the best of health this week (still unwell). Had fever at around 37.6-37.9 and was shivering like mad for two evenings. Suspect I ate something unclean on Wednesday night... *sighz* Hopefully I can recover soon, it's really a waste to spend my weekend being ill.

Just added - a new pic. Thought I'd just squeeze it here....

What's up this weekend?

Love cats? There's a Championship Cat Show at Expo today. These are well-groom cats, not the usual stray cats I see on the streets. They are loved much by their owners (well decorated cages, nice warm blankets and regular cuddles + grooming). I took some pics, not of the best quality but you can see how cute these cats are!

I'm a layman in cats appreciation. To me, strays and pedigreed cats are the same - equally cute and in need of love. Check out the Cat Welfare Society to find out how we can help!

Besides going to the cat show, I went bling hunting. I think I'm seriously bored and lazy and hence looking for new things to keep me entertained. Sound like I am having a wasted life. **LOL** Maybe... To protect hubby's wallet, I stopped myself from buying any diamonds. Instead I got myself a LV Suhali bracelet. Well, not a good move anyway (where's the new year resolution?!). This bracelet is something I like for the longest time ... I'm real glad I got it. Hope it fits my wrist well. And lastly, as usual, my doodle...

And not forgetting new items in my shop

Celebrate Colours

A new set of colour pencils - Faber Castell's polychromos. The colours are beautiful. Though I have not used them extensively (just a little trial when I coloured a small portion of my drawing), I find them easy to use and truly they don't smudge... well, they haven't smudge yet.

I hope I'd be less lazy and finish up my drawing soon... **oink**

On a separate note, I received 6 lovely kawaii dolls as present last Thurs. Love them so much so that I took several pictures of them. =) They can be found at Takashimaya shopping center. If you love them as well, you know where to find them!
This week's favs - Orangetree's favs of the week...
1) lotusjewelrystudio - love the buttons, especially the baby blue and purple ones. The beautiful casings made for them. Delicately done... if only I have the money!
2) mcfarlanddesigns - mystic moonstone ring. The gem's colour is amazing - something which I love. She does customs too. *heart*

For the sweet things in life

Yesterday was my last day at work. I'd start work on my new job next Wednesday. Hopefully I'd have some time to rest and relax before the next round of work begins.

Last week was great cos I received my Balenciaga Bubblegum Pink Twiggy and it is soooo beautiful! What's better, I got it at a lower price than what is sold in Singapore. Here's my babe. Modelling pics will come later after I get the chance to carry her.

Here's some random pics of my work - tea mug (took at Chatterbox... the most expensive chicken rice in town) and a drawing just completed. 9 March 08 was my dear friend, Sharmaine's wedding day. It was so wonderful to see her and to share with her happy celebration. She's a person who celebrates life and brings great love to her friends around her. Truly a gem. My very sincere best wishes to her and her hubby. =)

And before I end my post for the day ... here's something I just bought off etsy! To go to this talented lady's (margrietje) shop, click here

Buy?.. Buying.. Bought~!

I can't believe it. I saw the Bubblegum Pink Balenciaga bag on Day 1 (that was the first time I got to know how "bubblegum pink" looked like), I thought about it and I bought it on Day 2! I am (still am!) amazed with myself *LOL* I must document this down and laugh at myself when I grow old. Still waiting for the bag to be shipped... Getting a bit impatient even though it is only early Tuesday morning in US. A mini pic of my new babe...

I did something over the weekend. It is a labradorite and phrenite necklace, featuring the lovely heart focal (which I bought from the nice Japanese store in Takashimaya). Take a peep at the listing here.

And a close-up picture of my drawing made while I was on leave. It's now about 2 weeks before I start my new job. I really hope all goes well. Thanks to all for being by my side when I was terribly down. **hugs**
