Counting down to Christmas - Back from HK!

Less than 11 days to Christmas! Are you excited yet? =)

I just came back from a short holiday in Hong Kong. Hubby felt that I needed a break so he took the initiative to book the air-tickets and hotel room. **sweet**

And so we went and had quite a good time there. HK is a food and shopping heaven. We ate ate ate and ate, I bought bought bought and bought. ^_^

My spread of loot.... here goes!  **drum roll**

Organic masks and toner - My interest in organic face care products is growing. Many of the products in market are full of harmful chemicals, it is difficult to find good ones with organic "ingredients". Hence I got excited after spotting this shop, went in to find out more. Bought the masks and tried one of them 2 days ago. I like the texture and the fact that my face did not get red and painful after applying.  =)  It is also easy to wash off.

Jill Stuart Relax Set - The sales ladies at the JS counter were not approachable so I only bought this set. It includes a Body Cream, a Hair Mist and a Hand Cream, with a soft tote. I told hubby that I can use the tote when we are out for nearby weekend dinner.  <3 br="br">

Sony Vaio Duo 11 - Present from hubby for Christmas. I am using it to write this blog post now. Love it!! The keyboard and touch screen are best combo together!  **heart**

Halo silver ring - I found this beauty during random window shopping in Sogo. It is a silver ring with halo setting, so it is very affordable. Love it!

Rolex Oyster Perpectual Datejust - Shall do a separate post on this special babe.

The loot group photo. Many of the items are gifts for others. =)

This kind of sums up my haul. Thanks to hubby, I am able to buy many things I love, despite the difficult situation I am in. Of course, I need to control and continue to diligently save my money, it is not right at all to keep spending.

If you are also in some "pits" like me, pls do give yourself a break. But remember to brace up and keep walking after you have rested. Let's press on together.  =)

Counting down to Christmas

Christmas is coming. Just 2 months more or so from now.

As I was window shopping at CityHall, I stopped by (the outside of) my favourite shop... checking out the new figurines on display. "Wow, they have christmas stuff on sale now." I told my hubby. "The little mice are so cute. New additions to the shop...." I added.

And this pretty babe caught my eye. Intricate works, truly an art piece. This is a sculpture made by the talented people from Wee Forest Folk. Check out their website for more sweet delicate figurines.

After much deliberation (talking, persuading, reasoning...and big time struggle within myself), I decided to adopt her. =) This piece is named "Oh My, A Christmas Present!".

I am so in love with her. Look at the petite christmas decoration on her head, the sweet look of surprise and the lovely red little christmas present left on her doorstep... on the snow!

A slightly turned view. I love the Christmas wreath on the door, with little bit of snow flakes piling on top. See the pink cheeks of the sweetie mouse.  ^_^

The wonderful thing about this piece is that you see careful intricate works at the back too - the photo showing her beloved partner (look at the frame design), the cookies and the red wine, the present on the super delicate carpet... did you spot the christmas tree with the yellow star?

Swoon***** I love her, love her, love her. Cutie is now seated in my cupboard, sharing the space with my collection of blings and works.

Indulge I did, probably the last one this year. Must learn to exercise self control, especially during this period of difficult time.

Love to all the beautiful friends, who showed me care and support. ♥   I am grateful. May this Christmas be especially warm and joyous to you.

Birthday... and I am grateful

Life has been very tough for me these few weeks. Without going into the specifics, it literally sucked out my joy and threw me into one of the darkest pits of my life.

But I am blessed with wonderful friends and bosses, who have been very supportive and understanding. And I am blessed with an encouraging husband, who has been quietly giving me his love and trying his best to cheer me up.

Yesterday was my birthday. I remember I threw my temper on hubby last year on my birthday when he forgot to make reservation at a popular restaurant, resulting in us having to find another eating place. I feel very apologetic whenever I recall how badly I treated him. *sigh*... This year, I was totally distracted and hence couldn't care much about my birthday. And strangely the things he did and effort he put in gave me much warmth and love.

He took me to lunch at "Level 33" (http://www.level33.com.sg/) at Marina Bay Financial Centre. A restaurant with own made beers and a view -- You can see the ferris wheel and CBD skyscrapers. I had beef burger (huge!) and a glass of craft beer. Hubby had beer too and All Day Breakfast. It is a popular place with the caucasians, I thought that we were the only Singaporeans in the entire restaurant. *hoooot*

I had wanted to buy for myself a Tiffany Key and had been planning since more than a month ago. However, with the recent turn of events, I could no longer afford such luxury. Hubby knew of my Tiffany craze and offered to buy it for me as a birthday present. I was very touched.

After browsing at the boutique at Takashimaya, I changed my mind! My heart went out to a white gold with pave diamond bracelet (http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=GRP05857). She is called "Daisy bracelet". It is dainty and suitable for daily wear... and it doesn't burn a big hole in hubby's pocket. Although the diamonds are petite, they are very sparkly! I like the Sales Assistant, she is accomodating and helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience.

At night, Hubby took me back to MBS again. This time, we headed to the Chocolate Bar (http://www.marinabaysands.com/singapore-restaurants/casual-dining/the-chocolate-bar/) for a chocolate buffet. 90% of the food there are chocolates! From our table, we can see the beautiful Gardens by the Bay and even the sea (it was too dark to actually SEE the sea though. But I can see many ships docking out there). The restaurant was so nice to bring out a dish with 2 little cakes with candles, and the words "Happy Birthday Phoebe".  ^_^

This is the best birthday date with Hubby. I can see and feel his tender loving kindness.

To all the wives out there - if your hubby is a gem, pls treasure him with all your might and strength. Always remember the beautiful things he has done and the loving words he told you. Don't be clouded by a temporary shortcoming. We don't live forever, he is just on loan to you for you to love for a finite period of time....

How are you lately?

Apologies for the lack of updates. It has been a crazy 2 months - tons and tons of work with very minimal personal time. I said before and I will say it again now - I truly admire all of you who can complete your urgent work and yet remain cheerful after weeks and weeks of back-to-back meetings.

To help preserve my sanity, I make sure I sleep enough on Saturdays, indulge in little things that make me happy (e.g. Japanese magazines, cute stationery, online clothes shopping) and create blings.

My latest creation for the past 2 months:-

I realised that my colour theme this round is pastel blue! "Fly away" is a personal collection (I need to pamper myself. Heh Heh). "Sunday" and "Raindrops" earrings are available at my blogshop.

Hope your upcoming week is fantastic!  =)

Back from Japan - here are my yummies from the trip!

I am back from Japan! ^_^ This time I went to beautiful Osaka and Kyoto. It was a short trip but I totally enjoyed it. **woot!

Sakura flowers have not bloomed in the mountains. We did not see any when we went to Yoshinoyama (Yoshino mountain) but we did saw full blooms on the streets of Gion and Nara. The weather was just nice -- just like in the air-con room. =)

My loot is much smaller from this trip than from my previous one. Did not spend on cosmetics and face care products. **ooohhhhh
=======================================================

As usual, I bought several jewelry pieces from Agete. These are petite stackable yellow gold petite rings, with diamonds.

♥With pearl♥

♥With opal (top ring)♥

I also bought a pair from earrings from Take-Up.

♥ Rose gold earrings with mother-of-pearl flowers, gemstones and CZs

My other haul includes Kalafina and FF XIII-2 CDs, aromatic sakura incense sticks, beautiful kimono crafted accessories, Yojiya hair care essence and Soul earphones.

Hubby bought me a Burberry crossbody beige bag as a workbag. =) I joked that my workbags are always Coach or Burberry.

Thank you for sharing my happiness. If you are thinking of going to Japan but hesitated because of language, you can be rest assured that it is actually not as bad as you think! If I can do it, so can you! Many restaurants have English menu and many words are actually translated from English. If all else fails, just use the universal language -- hand signal and body language. =)

Inspiration juice flowing!

4 new pieces of work this week. I am very happy! ^_^ I have listed 2 of them - "Keep my heart" and "Serenity" on my blogshop. Do take a peep! =) You can find better photos of these lovelies from my Facebook. If you wish to get updates on my work, pls "Like" my page. ♥

I will list "My ring" later today. As for "Shining Hearts", I am battling within myself whether to keep them. *opps*

Hope you like them as much as I love creating them. Have a wonderful week ahead!
