It is now hanging on my study room's wall.
Her art work is beautiful, classy and romantic. Such talented artist.

Version 1 and Version 2

Was looking at an old work. Could not stand the disproportion so my itchy hand did some rework. Still seeing errors but it irritates me less now.
Wondering if my itchy hand will get to work on this again.

Mirror WIP

Can't think of a better title. So I'd just stick to "Mirror" first. WIP.

Royal Lady Digital Painting - The journey

I salute all the painters who can consistently and persistently keep drawing and painting. Completing this one piece of work is a very long process for me -- took me about 78 hours! I am a basic learner, I guess that is why I am painfully slow. **sweat**

The completed work.

===========

The long journey began...

The sketch. This was what I had in mind. It is important to have a reference picture as a base. Thereafter I modified to what I want.

WIP 1. This is after several hours of work. I realised the face was too big for her and decided to down scale it. I took a break and started pondering over it. This helps me to identify the flaws.

WIP 2. Corrected the flaws. And painted the clothes. The head-dress looked far from good so I decided to scrap it.

Worked for more hours today. There are still lots of flaws. Fine-tuning is required. But my interest in continuing her today is wearing out thin. =P So it is considered done!

Thanks for dropping by. Thanks especially to those who have been giving me encouragement -- You give me the fuel to continue! =)

Updated - New WIP - completed piece

Updated - finished piece

=========================

Another attempt in photoshop painting. This time, I was faster. Also had the chance to try new techniques. This version is a slightly better piece of work than my previous one. It is still a WIP, I felt tired after finishing the eyes. Really salute those who can complete a painting in one sitting. Let's see if I can finish this by next weekend.

Thanks for dropping by! ^_^ Gambate to myself!

another drawing

Am into a drawing frenzy these 2 weeks. ^_^ I am learning to use Photoshop to sketch and paint. Never good in painting but photoshop seems to make things slightly easier.
This is what I have done so far. Not fantastic but I am happy because I am improving in my skills. Call it a far-fetched dream but I believe I can be considered good in this one day!
Have a GREAT weekend!!

EtsyBlogger Carnival - My favourite creation

For this month's EtsyBlogger Carnival, I am submitting my contribution on the topic relating to "My Favourite Creation".

This picture below shows my painting done sometime end of last year, before I started work with my current employer. Why is it so special? Because it was my first painting after 10 years or so (since graduation from high school). Eversince I stepped out into the working society, I stopped painting. It felt so wonderful when I finally finished this drawing.
It is far from good but it is still an achievement to me... And hence my favourite creation.

(used Acrylic paints)

I am doing another painting right now, it is about 70% completed. I hope there will be more (I must stop being so lazy!!!).

What's up this weekend?

Love cats? There's a Championship Cat Show at Expo today. These are well-groom cats, not the usual stray cats I see on the streets. They are loved much by their owners (well decorated cages, nice warm blankets and regular cuddles + grooming). I took some pics, not of the best quality but you can see how cute these cats are!

I'm a layman in cats appreciation. To me, strays and pedigreed cats are the same - equally cute and in need of love. Check out the Cat Welfare Society to find out how we can help!

Besides going to the cat show, I went bling hunting. I think I'm seriously bored and lazy and hence looking for new things to keep me entertained. Sound like I am having a wasted life. **LOL** Maybe... To protect hubby's wallet, I stopped myself from buying any diamonds. Instead I got myself a LV Suhali bracelet. Well, not a good move anyway (where's the new year resolution?!). This bracelet is something I like for the longest time ... I'm real glad I got it. Hope it fits my wrist well. And lastly, as usual, my doodle...

And not forgetting new items in my shop

Celebrate Colours

A new set of colour pencils - Faber Castell's polychromos. The colours are beautiful. Though I have not used them extensively (just a little trial when I coloured a small portion of my drawing), I find them easy to use and truly they don't smudge... well, they haven't smudge yet.

I hope I'd be less lazy and finish up my drawing soon... **oink**

On a separate note, I received 6 lovely kawaii dolls as present last Thurs. Love them so much so that I took several pictures of them. =) They can be found at Takashimaya shopping center. If you love them as well, you know where to find them!
This week's favs - Orangetree's favs of the week...
1) lotusjewelrystudio - love the buttons, especially the baby blue and purple ones. The beautiful casings made for them. Delicately done... if only I have the money!
2) mcfarlanddesigns - mystic moonstone ring. The gem's colour is amazing - something which I love. She does customs too. *heart*

For the sweet things in life

Yesterday was my last day at work. I'd start work on my new job next Wednesday. Hopefully I'd have some time to rest and relax before the next round of work begins.

Last week was great cos I received my Balenciaga Bubblegum Pink Twiggy and it is soooo beautiful! What's better, I got it at a lower price than what is sold in Singapore. Here's my babe. Modelling pics will come later after I get the chance to carry her.

Here's some random pics of my work - tea mug (took at Chatterbox... the most expensive chicken rice in town) and a drawing just completed. 9 March 08 was my dear friend, Sharmaine's wedding day. It was so wonderful to see her and to share with her happy celebration. She's a person who celebrates life and brings great love to her friends around her. Truly a gem. My very sincere best wishes to her and her hubby. =)

And before I end my post for the day ... here's something I just bought off etsy! To go to this talented lady's (margrietje) shop, click here

Buy?.. Buying.. Bought~!

I can't believe it. I saw the Bubblegum Pink Balenciaga bag on Day 1 (that was the first time I got to know how "bubblegum pink" looked like), I thought about it and I bought it on Day 2! I am (still am!) amazed with myself *LOL* I must document this down and laugh at myself when I grow old. Still waiting for the bag to be shipped... Getting a bit impatient even though it is only early Tuesday morning in US. A mini pic of my new babe...

I did something over the weekend. It is a labradorite and phrenite necklace, featuring the lovely heart focal (which I bought from the nice Japanese store in Takashimaya). Take a peep at the listing here.

And a close-up picture of my drawing made while I was on leave. It's now about 2 weeks before I start my new job. I really hope all goes well. Thanks to all for being by my side when I was terribly down. **hugs**

Thank You

I just want to say "Thank You"... to all who have shown me LOVE, KINDNESS and PATIENCE all this while. Your support have given me strength. I am hopeful that I can get past the trials which I am facing, even right now.

Here's something specially for you, wherever you are...

swEeT DisTraCtioNs

Work work work - Something which I am rather loss in words these days. I don't even know how to describe it. I hope God gives me the serenity and strength.... please.

Beautiful things are my sweet distractions. They are a form of support to me - mentally and emotionally.

These are some of my personal favourites! More favourites can be found on my etsy site. First picture below shows the artwork of Ms Jodi (JodiStyle). She uses colourful painting style which is so artistic and cheery. This picture gives a feeling of hope and happiness... (Something which I am terribly lacking now)...

Next on the list:- Cute Owl Top. How much cuter can it get? This is so sweet! Found at KachingDesign

Lastly, for non-handmade stuff, *evil grin* it must be my favourite korean drama. Well, that's a bit off topic. Simply LOVE "Coffee Prince", it's every girl's dream to be the lead female cast in the story. Totally fun and romantic drama serial. I finished 9 episodes in less than 2 days' time. I was crazy. Here's the beautiful MTV, taken from YouTube:-
